Alara Magritte's wintery romance song, Snow One Else for Me, which she wrote alongside Sonya Hayden at the Playdate Holiday Conference, will be featured at McGuire & Simon's 9th Annual Holiday Salon. The night will be filled with 14 new holiday songs from local songwriters and composers. The show starts at 7pm on December 12th in Midtown West. A $25 donation is requested at the door which will benefit The Parents Circle Families Forum, a joint Israeli-Palestinian nonprofit organization of bereaved families working toward peace and reconciliation through ongoing dialogue and the sharing of their personal stories of loss.  Please join us at the The White Box at Playwrights Downtown to hear "Those Woman" as part of Musical Theatre Factory's Collective Liberation Salon. Our piece will feature the talents of Nadia Duncan, Jenna Levere, and Bridget Rose Perotta, music direction and accompaniment by Allison Kraus. We are proud to announce that we are producing "My Body, My Voice: Songs for Safe Access," a benefit concert uniting up and coming singer-songwriters with musical theatre storytellers for an intimate evening of music to support the Brigid Alliance. This abortion access nonprofit serves as a trusted point of contact for every step of the journey for those seeking abortions; providing travel, food, lodging, child care, and other logistical support. Join us November 8th at 6:30pm for a soul-stirring night at Caveat on the Lower East Side. Food and drink will be available for purchase, and we will also be featuring a raffle with lots of prizes! Alara developed this snowwomen love song with composer Sonya Hayden as part of Playdate Theatre’s 2020 musical development conference. All proceeds go to Urban Stages’ Outreach, a city-wide program that tours and makes available online free plays and art programming for all ages.
